Tom Van Dam

Tom Van Dam has a deep passion for working with high-performing teams. He has worked as a Division 1 athlete, a Navy helicopter pilot, a military professor of leadership, and an athletic consultant, and has had the opportunity to work with emerging leaders in the classroom and on the athletic field

Tom learned firsthand the power of teamwork and the impact of leadership on dynamic teams through his work with the Navy and as an athlete. In 2016, he transitioned from flying to teaching at the Naval Academy, where he taught for eight years. He has a Master’s degree in Leadership from Georgetown University and received his Executive Coaching Certification from Georgetown in 2021. He is certified in the Kolb Experiential Learning Profile for individuals and teams, and well as the Kolb Educator Role Profile, from the Institute for Experiential Learning.

Tom has a thirst for learning and self-discovery. He believes that coaching empowers the leader to bring out the best in their team members to develop the commitment and collaboration required to achieve sustained success. His experiences throughout his career have led him to partner with players, coaches, and leaders across multiple industries in order to positively impact individual and team performance.
