John Christopher, PhD
John Christopher started his journey as a professional coach with a passion for psychology and in particular, psychology of the workplace. He discovered Industrial Organizational Psychology during his early college days and it continues to amaze him how people are at the core of what makes our modern work world tick. One of his favorite travel writers, Rick Steves, says that the best souvenir is a broader perspective, and he brings that approach to his coaching in order to help professionals discover pathways to success.
John has 25 years experience in organizational leadership in a wide range of roles - people analytics, faculty member, consultant, and team leader. He is an International Coaching Federation Associate Certified Coach and holds assessment certificates in 360 Leadership Performance (CCL 360 Benchmarks) and Emotional Intelligence (EQi 2.0 & EQ 360). He earned a PhD from Wayne State University in Industrial Organizational Psychology and his coach training comes from the Center for Creative Leadership.
As a coach, John values curiosity, creativity, resilience, perseverance and achievement. No matter what type of work, John’s purpose has always been about helping others to succeed and helping leaders create healthy and effective workplaces. He uses best practices in coaching to help leaders identify key priorities, set attainable goals, develop action plans, fulfill performance objectives, and achieve work-life balance. He enjoys partnering with anyone who is looking to discover, develop, and realize their full potential.
